Collaborative projects: Mixed loads with pulsed stresses in HVDC transmission systems

Subprojects: Analysis and evaluation of the influence of system-relevant mixed stresses on the insulation of HVDC transmission equipment

Funding period: 2019 - 2022

Within the context of the ImpulseHGÜ research project at the TU Dortmund University, the influences of mixed loads on the insulation of equipment in HVDC transmission networks will be analyzed. The research project addresses new types of mixed stresses and their simulation in the laboratory as well as multiphysical stresses occurring in HVDC cable systems, the effects of which are investigated using space-charge measurement technology. In addition, the project will conduct novel investigations in the field of leakage current measurement under DC voltage load.
